Winter Issue: A Time Called Magic

The theme for this issue is high fantasy! We ask you to delve deep into your imagination, reawakening the old and new fairytales alike. What ancient monsters stir in your dark woods? What lithe creatures leave pixie dust footprints on your windowsill every night? Can you hear the ghostly music and festivities of the sprites' parade ring out in the dead of night? For this issue, we ask you to capture magic, whether it's the sugary pink magic of your childhood or the sinister bloodred magic of things that go bump in the night.

OUR MISSION

PAST THE HORIZON

The Debut Review chooses a theme each quarter but challenges emerging student artists to transcend the traditional interpretations in their work. How far can you go before you cross the line? Does the line exist? We believe that the horizon is only as close or as far away as you perceive it to be. Shock us, comfort us, entertain us with the most outrageous interpretations of your human experience...we look forward to hearing from you.
