SUBMIT

Our reading periods are September 1st through December 1st for our winter issues and March 1st through May 1st for our summer issues. 

 

Please submit works in 12 pt. Times New Roman. We also ask that you do not submit works exceeding the maximum 3,000 word count.

Although it is not preferred, we do take submissions in the form of Instagram posts. However, if your submission is an image (visual art or photography), please send it as an image file or link to a PDF. It is difficult to transfer Instagram images to the program we use to assemble our issues.

IMPORTANT: if you choose to submit with a Google Doc, please allow VIEWING ACCESS set to ANYONE WITH THE LINK. Nobody but the Debut Review staff will view your submission before publication, so there is no need to worry about privacy leaks.

We will read over your submission and get back to you before or by mid-February for the Winter Issue and mid-June for the Summer Issue

We accept up to three poems for poetry submissions.

​

If you would like to include a brief (not exceeding 150 words) artist's statement, please do so in your document.

​

If you are not comfortable giving your real name, we welcome pen names as well. 

​

Names are only required in order to give credit to the artist; we consider each submission fairly and without prejudice.

 

Each quarter The Debut Review will pick the editor's favorites and feature them on our homepage.
